Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This Privacy Policy explains how Visione Edge ("Visione Edge", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit our website and interact with our services. We are based in Costa Rica and process personal data in accordance with Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Persons against the Processing of their Personal Data (Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al tratamiento de sus datos personales) and its regulations, overseen by the Agency for the Protection of the Data of the Inhabitants (PRODHAB).

1. Data controller

Visione Edge — legally Visione Edge S.A., registered in Alajuela, San Carlos, Costa Rica — is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@visione-edge.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data you give us, plus — if you allow it — the site usage described below:

We never send your name, email address, phone number, company, or the content of your messages or chats to any analytics or advertising provider. We do not sell or rent your personal data — ever.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used — which articles are read, which pages lead to an inquiry, and where visitors get stuck. We use it to improve the site, not to profile you or to advertise to you.

The site uses two kinds of storage:

Analytics is off until you choose. Before you accept, Google's tags run in consent mode with storage denied: they set no cookies and read no identifiers. Nothing measurement-related is stored on your device unless you press Accept.

You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. Declining costs you nothing — the site works identically either way.

Beyond the events above, we record which page you were on when you clicked a "Book a call" button, opened or sent a message to the Ask Visione assistant, started or submitted the contact form, and which article you were reading. We record that these actions happened and where — never what you wrote.

4. Why we use it

To respond to your inquiries and provide the information or demo you request; to schedule and hold calls you request; to learn from webinar feedback which topics our audience needs, and to follow up with you about it when you ask us to; to operate the Ask Visione assistant so it can answer your questions; to measure how the site is used so we can improve it; and to keep the site secure and working correctly. We rely on your consent as the basis for processing — given when you submit a form, send a chat message, or email us, and, for analytics, when you press Accept on the cookie banner. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time from the footer, and withdraw the rest by writing to us.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed:

These providers act as our processors and are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights. We never sell or share your information for others' marketing.

6. International processing

Some providers may process data on servers outside Costa Rica. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your data protected to a comparable standard.

7. How long we keep it

We keep contact and inquiry data only as long as needed to handle your request and the relationship that follows, then delete or anonymize it. Webinar feedback submissions — the answers you give together with the contact details you provide in that form — are kept for 24 months from the day you send them and are then deleted automatically; a rolling backup may hold a deleted record for up to 35 days beyond that. Chat sessions are short-lived and are not used to identify you. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months from your last visit, after which the event-level records expire automatically; aggregated reports may persist beyond that but cannot be traced back to an individual.

8. Your rights

Under Costa Rican law you have the rights of informational self-determination: to access your personal data, to have it rectified if inaccurate, to have it deleted or its processing cancelled, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, write to info@visione-edge.com; we respond within the timeframes set by law. You may also file a complaint with PRODHAB.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. No method of transmitting data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children

Our site and services are intended for businesses and professionals, not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version; material changes will be posted on this page.
